Arizona EV Incentives & Savings
Electric vehicles are exempt from the annual emissions testing required for other cars in the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas. State law also allows drivers of alternative fuel vehicles to use parking spaces designated for carpool operators.
Arizona EV incentive programs
Arizona currently has no state-level EV incentive programs for consumers. The federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (Section 30D, up to $7,500) expired September 30, 2025 and is no longer available for new purchases. The federal 30C residential charging credit (30% up to $1,000) remains available through June 30, 2026.
