Georgia EV Incentives & Savings
Alternative Fuel Vehicle license plates grant access to high-occupancy vehicle and toll lanes without passenger requirements in congested areas. EV owners pay a yearly supplemental registration fee to contribute to road maintenance funds.
Georgia EV incentive programs
Georgia currently has no state-level EV incentive programs for consumers. The federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (Section 30D, up to $7,500) expired September 30, 2025 and is no longer available for new purchases. The federal 30C residential charging credit (30% up to $1,000) remains available through June 30, 2026.
