Utah EV Incentives & Savings
Drivers of electric vehicles can apply for a decal that grants access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes regardless of passenger count. Additionally, all-electric vehicles are exempt from the state's vehicle emissions inspection requirements.
Utah EV incentive programs
Utah currently has no state-level EV incentive programs for consumers. The federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (Section 30D, up to $7,500) expired September 30, 2025 and is no longer available for new purchases. The federal 30C residential charging credit (30% up to $1,000) remains available through June 30, 2026.
