Washington EV Incentives & Savings
Electric vehicles benefit from a power grid dominated by hydroelectric generation, resulting in very low well-to-wheel emissions. Qualifying clean alternative fuel vehicles can also gain access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes, regardless of the number of passengers.
Washington EV incentive programs
Washington currently has no state-level EV incentive programs for consumers. The federal Clean Vehicle Tax Credit (Section 30D, up to $7,500) expired September 30, 2025 and is no longer available for new purchases. The federal 30C residential charging credit (30% up to $1,000) remains available through June 30, 2026.
